Hoedown in the Holler is an annual outdoor country music festival held at Mandolin Farm in Flemingsburg, KY.  We have 60 beautiful acres and 250 campsites with water & electric hookups + primitive camping!  Hoedown is an outdoor, rain or shine event so you will be contending with Mother Nature and her various moods!

The Rules


We respect the law at Hoedown in the Holler. All local, state and federal laws are to be obeyed.

Patrons under the age of 21 are not permitted to consume any alcohol while on the Hoedown/Mandolin Farms grounds. Providing a minor with alcohol is also illegal. Use of any illegal drugs, drunken and/or obnoxious behavior and activities will not be tolerated.

All persons attending Hoedown in the Holler do so at their own risk. No liability is assumed by owners, managers, promoters, sponsors or others.
Please do not trespass, litter or block our friendly neighbor’s driveways.
Selling of unauthorized merchandise or services is prohibited while on the grounds. Anyone caught engaged in such activity will be prosecuted.

Fighting is not tolerated and is cause for immediate eviction without refund.  Re-entry is also prohibited.  We don't care if you start it or finish it, all parties/individuals involved will be removed immediately. 

Anyone found to be in violation of any law or regulation may be subject to prosecution and will be evicted from the event without refund of your ticket.



Parking is all outdoor and all on grass.  We will direct you where to park upon entry based on type of vehicle and ground conditions.  Parking is included with the price of the admission ticket.  THERE IS AN OVERFLOW LOT AT THE INTERSECTION OF THE BYPASS AND 697.  You are encouraged to meet friends there and carpool the 1.8 miles to the festival site as parking is limited.

Hoedown  has festival style seating with ample room for your lawn chair or blanket.  You may bring coolers but NO GLASS in the concert area. 


We have delicious food available on the festival site, including BBQ, homemade ice cream, popcorn, hamburgers, hot dogs, tenderloin sandwiches, funnel cakes, and more incredible festival fare!  You are also welcome to bring a cooler.


Fleming County is a dry county, therefore no alcohol is sold or served on the festival premises.  Those individuals of LEGAL drinking age, should they choose to consume adult  beverages, should do so in a respectful manner.  NO OPEN CONTAINERS OR GLASS ALLOWED.  We advise any alcoholic beverages consumed in a responsible manner be contained in a cup or koozie.   Should uncover ATF agents be on the festival grounds, those consuming alcohol from open or marked containers should expect to receive a citation and/or potentially be summonsed to appear in court. 


If you need a place to stay while at Hoedown and don't have a camper, the closest places to stay are:
Camp Sousley - $75/night 4 miles from Mandolin Farm call Laura at (606)356-8302 to reserve. All rooms are doubles with small refrigerators. This is the only hotel in Fleming County.

From Morehead and points East:

Take Route 32W for 25 miles. 

Turn LEFT on Route 697/Smith Pike. 

Proceed for 1.8 miles.  Mandolin Farm is on the right.  (If you pass John Deere on 32, you've gone too far.)

From Louisville and points West:

Take I64 East to Exit 110 (Mt. Sterling/Flemingsburg).  At end of exit ramp, take a LEFT on KY 11.  Proceed 29 miles until you reach the first stoplight. 

Take a right on Morehead Rd/KY-32 (Flemingsburg Bypass). 

Go 2 miles, turn right on 697/Smith Pike. 

Proceed 1.8 miles.  Mandolin Farm is on the right. 

From Cincinnati and points North:

Take KY9 South (AA Highway)

Turn right onto KY Highway 11/KY-11/KY-1448. Continue to follow KY-11.

Turn right onto KY-11 Byp/Bypass Road NC. Continue to follow KY-11 Byp.

KY-11 becomes KY-32 (at McDonald's intersection)

After passing McDonald's, proceed 3 miles and turn right on 697/Smith Pike

Proceed 1.8 miles.  Mandolin Farm is on the right.
